Hi

We are incubating our first chickens. Two have hatched, one is in the process of hatching and another pipped this morning (12 hours ago), but pipped on the underside of the egg. Since the initial pip, there has been no noise or movement despite the two hatched already are bumping n walking all over the egg. Has the chick died, or are we just impatient? Thanks very much.....

Keep watching - sometimes they need to rest for 24 hours after pip before they zip. Can you turn the egg so that you can see the pipped area and watch for movement without disturbing the humidity in the bator???

was the pip on the narrow end of the egg or the wide end. If on the narrow end it might not make it because its not getting into the air sac.
