Egg Pipped On Lockdown Day!!

Egg hatched today-day of lockdown- and the chicks weak and dont seem to be able to pick up its head but its chirping away and seems healthy. its all dry and can stand. but it cant lift its head. will it be ok? does it just need to gather strength? had some issues hatching due to it being dry incubation and it hatching early. had to move it to the hatcher quick to get moisture to it. hatched ok after that.

I've had that happen on most of my hatches. One has pipped at lockdown or shortly afterward. It's usually the leghorn eggs that have done this but not always. I now lockdown the night before just to be safe. Happy hatching.
