I will be hatching eggs for the first time starting next week. I will be putting them in the egg carton and tilting them back and forth in a piece of pipe to rotate them but when I lock them down do I leave them in the carton? on a angle?? or just flat??

I left mine in the cartons and had 9 of 13 hatch :)

I am hatching eggs for the first time, quail and chicken to be exact. I think I made boo boos. After reading different posts, I think my eggs are upside down in the incubator. I have about 7 or 8 days left before hatching day. Should I set them the other way?

Either will work just fine but it does seem like left in the carton can make it easier to see the pips.

I had one that was upside down until day 6, both ends looked the same, so I didn't know until I could see the air sac. That chick did not make it past pip. Just wanted to warn you they may not make it...but I hope they do.

Well good news, I lost count after 16. They won't be still. More are pipping. Quail!
