Egg Prices and Colors

Was at the meat shop today. Noticed they had farm fresh eggs for sale 3.50/Dozen (CDN). I live on the outskirts of town. About 10 minutes from Parksville, BC. An about 25 minutes from Nanaimo, BC. Probably going to sell ours for $3 /Dozen. Once our girls start laying that is LOL.

Actually our customers all love the blue eggs, and when they don't get any wonder what has happened. We generally try to put two in each dozen with ten brown eggs, as we don't have near enough of the blue egg layers. I am going to fix that next year. We get 4 dollars a dozen from ours and the farmers market charges five.
