Egg production has fallen off drastically

Could my problem be dietetic? They've been on a steady diet of laying mash and kitchen scraps since they graduated from starter/grower feed

Mine been on a downward spiral as well! I feel its just the cold its been cold here in the northeast!

About a month ago my girls suddenly stopped laying. I couldn't figure it out. When I went in to get more feed for them I asked the owner of feed store what happened. Boy did I feel stupid when he asked me if I had forgotten to plug in their light (which is on a timer to give them 14 hours of light). And they do need 14 hours of light to continue to lay during fall/winter.
I should have turned on the light around the end of August.
Since turning on their light 3 weeks ago, some of the girls have started to lay and hopefully they all will.

Yeah, I know............

I forgot to think like a chicken...........

Some people, myself included, don't use supplemental light. The hens need the rest that nature has designed into their program.
kwhites, their diet sounds fine. You can supplement with oyster shell to help them produce nice hard shells.
