Egg Production Picking Up---FInally!

After a very egg-sparse spring and early summer, during which I gave several lectures to my lazy slackers, and after they all blew their feathers in a June molt and said they had to rest and grow new ones and therefore couldn't lay eggs---

TODAY I GOT AN EGG FROM EVERY HEN! This hasn't happened for many months!

Think I'll go down the road and buy them a watermelon at the roadside stand.

It almost seems like Indian Summer here already but it's certainly too early for that. Congrats on getting beyond the dry spell! I have a former broody and mother start back to laying this week and that's been a mighty long wait.
