Just got 4 beauty's that came from a home with 4 roosters and got the pin down from them. So I like to believe. But my flock doesn't have a rooster and are on a light all the time. the new ones were not on a light and just went dormant for the season. When I let the new ones out a few went to the nesting box and laid a egg.

How long have you had the hens? Hens can lay fertilized eggs for up to 3 weeks after mating with a rooster, sometimes even a bit longer, but each day that passes you're less likely to get fertilized eggs. If you're wanting to hatch some I would just start collecting the eggs for a few days and put them in an incubator. There's no harm in trying!

This is my second day with them and 2 days prior or so they just stopped laying for the season. But I'm getting eggs from them now. I sell most of my eggs from my original flock and currently dont have a incubator or how to tell if the new eggs are positive

You can also crack an egg open and look for a bullseye on the yolk to check for fertility.

I did this once! Couldn’t really have roosters but after buying a frizzled Naked Neck (Turken) she laid two eggs (only two she ever laid for a year!). So I incubated both and two chicks hatched successfully!

Will a normal flashlight work to candle them or is candling a different thing. And thankyou for the help and insight

Candling won’t work unless they’ve been incubated for a few days. Only way to know if they’re fertile, without incubating, is to crack them open.

Will do. I put them in the fridge yesterday lol. But if I get more today will definitely get a incubator. And start my new adventure as a chicken farmer :)

You won't be able to see if the egg is fertilized by candling unless you have been incubating the eggs or if you have a broody hen sitting on them. They require very consistent temps to start developing. I have a very bright candler and the below images are what can be seen when incubating. The egg was also white so it made candling easier.

If you take them out of the refrigerator and bring them back to room temperature they may still be viable as well or you can crack the refrigerator eggs open and use those to check the yolk for fertility.
