Dear Readers, am so much glade to be on this forum as we share information and knowledge about our chickens or hens.
i have 170 birds, they are called Black Zambian, they are going to make 7 month on 6th/04/2013. their laying capacity is now 50%. i thought by the time they are 7 month i will be able to collect 70-80%
What could be the problem?
What best feeds formula should i use?

Where are you located? Do your birds have access to grass and greens? If not, maybe you could try growing fodder or pastures for them to get some greenery? My free range flock seems to lay better than my breeding pens.

thanks for the Revert . am based in Uganda, i normally give them greens and they really enjoy them. they are mixed with some 3-4 cocks. is it ok to leave them there?
some hens behave like wanting to incubate, what should i do?
