Egg question

Hello, I have a hen that lays one egg per week, why? The hen is about 40 weeks old, Rhode Island Red, the others lay one per day same age

you might want to check there buts.Some times when they lay eggs alot of poop comes out and gets stuck on the back feathers and but.

What do you mean, the poop would block a egg?

Has she always laid that poorly, or has she laid better in the past? Some hens are just poor layers. If the rest of the flock is the same age, and doing and laying well, it is probably just something off with that hen. If it is recent, she might be going into a molt or have something else going on.
