I was gifted 2 New Hampshire Red hens and 3 White Orpington hens.
After I moved them here, the Reds each have laid an egg every day. The Whites however, had not laid an egg in nearly a week. Today, 2 eggs in the Whites tractor!
Questions:
1. The Reds eggs are bigger than the Whites. Is that right? I would think the Orps would be a bit larger.
2. Both sets of eggs are smallish, about a bit smaller than a store bought medium egg. Is that appropriate size for these breeds?
