This sounds horrible... But I think we backyard chicken owners can take advantage of this situation very easily...
And I am totally unaffected otherwise! Yay chickens!!!

Hey better for us who have an over supply. Makes people come to the local producers for their eggs... And depending on the long term possibly changes their preffered taste! My heart goes out to the owners of effected chickens. Good luck to you

So glad I got 12 new ready to lay pullets last month. They started 2 weeks ago tomorrow & I've gotten 92 eggs since then! Today was my first perfect 12 egg day. I sure hope they get this under control soon, but it will still take a long time to replace the layers.
