I just got my 2nd batch of eggs via Priority Mail, after they were sitting somewhere with USPS all weekend. They were supposedly mailed on the 18th, so my question is, do they HAVE to "rest" before incubation even if they are already room temperature?

Mind you, the seller said they were shipped on the 18th, the postmark says the 19th, and it's now the 23rd.

God forbid USPS should deliver something a day early -- which would have been Saturday, when I was told to watch for them!

Right now they're sitting out, but I'd like to get them in the bator ASAP since I'm not sure how long they've been in circulation. Isn't the whole point of resting to get them to room temp?
