I have a turkey poult that is about 18 hours old and it looks like the eggs sack didn’t get absorbed or part of the intestine is hanging out about an inch or so. The parents are both 1 year old, and it is one of about 25 poults so far, and I haven’t had any problems with the others. Mom is either blue slate or bourbon red, dad is either bourbon red or Spanish black.
Right now it is still in the incubator. I want to take it out, but not sure where to put it. Afraid if I put it in with any others they will peck it to death.
Question is, can poults recover from this kind of thing or do I need to just go ahead and put it down? Thanks.

If it is not to bad you can save it. This is what I do. Dip the navel in Betadine solution or Nalvasan diluted 4 to 1 with water. Keep dipping 3 to 4 times a day until it is died up. This will help it dry up and keep infection out. Keep it away from anyone until it is better.
