He just looks a little "different". Maybe it's because he's still wet, but his neck looks pink and kinda naked. Am I imagining things?
I know the lady I got this batch from had some Polish Turkens (?). The tips of his toes are also pink, and his feet are HUGE, lol.
He's much bigger than the others.

I was always told that if a silkie comes out with a discolored toe that they will grow out of it and it will eventually turn black. Now is that true. I don't know. I just hatched a cuckoo out with the same thing From someones cuckoo eggs I purchased. a pink toe on each foot. I am hoping it grows out of it or else I will have to get rid of it.

If you don't care about it and aren't wanting to sell the hatching eggs then there are no problems with misfits.
But my little cuckoo is supposed to be nice for being able to sell hatching eggs. I do hope the pink toes dissappear.
It was my first cuckoo. I had six good cuckoo eggs in the bator the bator went funny one night when I was sleeping went to 104 and only one made it out.
Now I have to find more cuckoo hatching eggs. Not very easy to find.

stupid bator.

This may sound dumb, but what's a cuckoo?

Not sure yet what i'll be breeding for, just got eggs from 2 different sources to see what i'd get. So we'll see once they're all older and I can weed out the ones I don't want and keep the ones I do.

Whatever she is ..... that is an adorable photo!!
Maybe take another piccy when she's dried out a little? How many toes has she got?

Whytedragon, a cuckoo colored bird is a dark gray/white bird similar to barred. I'm not sure of the exact difference in the two patterns, but cuckoos look basically like a barred pattern to me. If you have seen a Barred Rock, that's sort of what cuckoo looks like.
