Egg shape and heredity

I'm seeing this rounded, blunt end egg shape in my flock and I think it might be being passed by the males.... or maybe I'm imagining things!



This hen's mother lays longer, narrower eggs....



BUT Chulla's father's sisters lay eggs like this....

It does look a little off-chart. I wouldn't worry if it only happens once or twice but if it continues to happen, it could be a problem. Check out the link attached.

The hatchability is fine. I just wonder how significant the roosters are in determining the shape.
