Egg shell colour variation or different bird?

Anyone know if its normal for an egg laying hen to stop laying for two weeks then start again with a different colour shell?

I think my Lohman hen laid yesterday again after ages (egg on the bottom) and we saw her in the box again this morning (top egg). The egg today was bigger and pinker, but the strange thing is yesterdays egg looked the same pinkish colour then darkened in the fridge. Is she lacking something in her diet?

The other possibility is its another hens' egg altogether . I have 2 boschvelders who are about 25 weeks old and were supposed to lay after 18wks, but Im not sure if they have at all. The two other birds that lay, let me touch them and squat etc, but the boschvelders squeal and run away. Also, their comb is not fully developed so Im assuming its the Lohmans' eggs because we saw her in the box this morning. My second layer is a bantam so thats easy to distinguish.

The pinkish stuff is called bloom, Some times it goes on thick so you notice it. it seals the egg from bacteria. It lightens as it dries and disappears as it gets damp.

Ive never seen it pink before so was worried, but thank you for the info. So much to learn
