Egg shells weak attachment to membrane

not sure if this is normal for newly laying hens or if I’m missing something. I have two hen who have just started laying. the eggs look great and hens seem happy and healthy, but when I go to cook their eggs the shells don’t seem to have a strong attachment to the membrane underneath. When I crack the egg it’s shell falls off in pieces.

There can be glitches in the system when they begin, so it just be that. It can take months for a few to straighten out. Make sure they are on a good ration, I prefer a higher protein one, and keep a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs. That's about all you can do.

Thanks I am doing just that. Fresh water access to oyster shell, high protein feed, corn and I let them range as often as I can.

This is when you go to break a fresh, raw egg?
Don't think I've ever seen that one before.
Hopefully is just new layer glitch.
Birds are young pullets, ~6 months old?

Yes they are just past the 6mnth mark and just started laying. And yes when I break a fresh raw egg
