My Buff Orpington’s began laying eggs last Sunday and she has been very prolific, six eggs in six days.
Google shows Buff Orpington’s eggs are large but the ones my pullet is laying are medium size, when should I expect large eggs and will the production lessen?

Pullet eggs are sometimes small, but will get larger as time passes. All my girls who are laying are producing smallish eggs, but they have gotten larger as they figure things out. The first Welsummer egg I got was about the size of a quail egg, I think. Too cute to eat. I really don't know if your Orp will continue with such great production, but I would think she will slack off some this winter.

All pullet eggs are small.
It can take days, weeks, or months for them to get up to a 'large' size.

My barred rock has small eggs and it's been like that for months since she's a new layer. The size is increasing slightly every egg she lays. My Delaware went from small eggs to large eggs within a month. So it all depends on the chicken itself, their systems all work out the kinks when it feels it's time.

Soon you'll have large eggs and the waiting will be worth it!
