Egg song and no eggs

Woke me up this morning because someone was having a cow. I realized it sounds like the egg song YouTube videos I've seen. But, alas, no egg. Is this also a pre-laying thing?

Aretha loves to go into the hen house, then come out and sing her egg song. So, I go running down to the coop and look in the box. NO EGG! She's just a big tease. I think she does it just for the attention.

Ah hates chickens!
