Egg song at 4 months

hello! My buff orpinton is about 4 months old but ive been hearing her make what sounds like an egg song? do they start that early? or is there other reasons they do it?

The 'egg song' sounds very similar to an alarm call.
Tho if she's 16 weeks old, it's not out of the question that she's getting ready to lay.

Is her comb bright red and swollen? Is she squatting for you. Generally speaking that is early for a BO, but it can happen.

i think they all are around 17/18 weeks. born around february 24th i think, it could've been an alarm call because i was cleaning their run area and they werent very happy about it

I have a similar situation- mine are consistently egg songing but not yet squatting! I am so excited.

i didnt notice any of that when i was watching her, i believe it was what Mrs. K was saying about the alarm call

Mine do it when I am inside the house. I cannot wait until I come out and theres actually an egg!
