I'm not for sure which topic this would fall under, so my apologies in advance.

How do you store your extra eggs? How long are the good for will in the coop? Do they have to be refrigerated? How long will they last in the frig?

Sorry about so many questions,....but I'm getting about 24 chickies and just wanna know how to store the eggs.

    Thanks bunches!

idk for sure exactly on all the how longs and how toos....but a piece of advice...try - just try I can't make promises for others...going to your local IHOP and asking for the egg crates when you get to a point with that many eggs. We just throw them away - our eggs come in cases of like 15 dozen I think, the part that holds the eggs has like 7 by 8 spots (or maybe it's 7 by 6 when you count across and down, I forget and am not at work or I would go check) or some such - lots of storage for free [IMG] Course they may say no...I wouldn't, but some people are weird. It's cardboard stuff too usually. They may even throw in the box - who knows. But it's a pretty nifty thought I bet not too many people look into.

Just offering something to ponder - if IHOP says no (I shouldn't say this but here goes...) try Denny's [IMG] Just kidding...
