ok so I have a shipment of duck eggs that was sent earlier then expected. I expected the eggs Friday or Saturday however they can arrive as early as tomorrow (wednesday) having been shipped yesterday. So the issue is I have 12 chicken eggs finishing in my only incubator currently started lockdown this morning day 18. I know the duck eggs have to rest anyway for 24 hrs after shipment but this chicken batch may still not be done. How long can I wait or do I need to buy another incubator for duckies. I know a mother duck can lay for 14 days before brooding so I think it would stand to reason that the eggs should be fine however I always hear after 7 days from being laid you lose viability. Advice please and thank you.
