First time incubating and the second chick to pip. I noticed the egg tooth looks like it's drying out and about to fall off. Any advice on what to do? Chick is peeping and pipped almost 8 hrs ago.

It looks fine. Just leave her be. It won't fall off. If for some weird reason it does, she'll still be able to hatch fine.First time incubating and the second chick to pip. I haven't had any stay on past 1 week, but yes, they're super tough.I wouldn't worry. Those suckers seem hard to fall off. My chicks that are almost 2 weeks still have then occasionally
I have come to the conclusion that my chicks are just weird, so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't supposed to stay that long XDI haven't had any stay on past 1 week, but yes, they're super tough.
Lol! How else are they weird?I have come to the conclusion that my chicks are just weird, so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't supposed to stay that long XD

Wow! Lol!I've got one with bad legs that has decided for herself she's a house chicken, a pair (Phoenix cockerel and Cornish bantam pullet) that are like Romeo and juliet, a gal that is convinced ahe can be a better rooster than her nephew, a rooster scared of his hens, a hen that knows how to get other hens to adopt her babies so she can jist make a new nest and not have to deal with chicks and a bun ch of quail that are bloodthirsty

Haha, quail are such stinkers. Mine are Bobs though so they're not too bad.Yeah. Most of them I've come to accept, the quail are the ones that cause so mulch distress here though unfortunately
