What are the dimensions on this turner?
Whether it's worth it to you to buy a turner or do it by hand really depends on how much you want to be tied to the incubator and how many eggs youre setting, also how many times a year. I set 36 eggs for my sister once and turned them all by hand it was about an hour every day of just turning eggs. That doesn't include candling time when i was checking air cell progress.
I felt i couldn't go do stuff mid-day or visit any one over the weekend while i had eggs set because I couldnt count on any other family members to turn them for me.
I did get the turner that goes with the 1602N, and my number of malpositioned chicks dropped from 80% to 10% so personally i think it's worth it to have an auto turner. But it does detach you from the whole incubating process. I lost power while incubating and completely forgot i had eggs set until the power came back on. It was fine because the power was only out for an hour.
