Hell BYC, I'm on my twelfth day of incubating a chicken egg. My egg turner just broke and stopped running, should I turn the egg by hand or what?

Ya only one egg, it's on day 13, should I turn it every 8 hour or does it not matter, only 3 time?

I remember when I first started incubating it was turn the egg once a day. Boy this was exciting because we actually got to open the incubator and turn the egg. Our chickens hatched, they were great. But as time went by we have gotten smarter and science mo betta. They said now turn twice a day.. Oh this was even more exciting. We get to open the incubator and turn the egg twice a day.. They must be out of their minds. Our chickens still hatched and they were great. But now... We must turn 5x or if we follow our automatic turners 24x. It wasn't so exciting anymore, because what was once something to look forward to is now worrisome. Our chickens still hatch and they are still great, but there must be something missing in all of this. Oh yeah common sense.

I actually never got the memo to reduce it. Running steady temps above of the 99.5 has had better results for me.
