egg under broody, when to candle?

I have one hen that no matter how many times i tried to break her she insists on being broody. I finally broke down and let her have one egg. I put it under her still warm after being laid on Thursday. When should i candle to check for growth?

I have checked mine on day five but some say to wait till day ten? It's up to you! I like day five but I do it at night so I can see well or in a really dark place! Good luck!!!

You don't have to candle at all. I candled two clutches at 10 days but skipped candling the third clutch.
