So, I checked on my hen and hatchlings just now and one of the eggs under mamma externally pipped. Would it make sense to put my chripping-but-not-yet-eternally-pipped egg under her?

Thank you for the input. Mom abaondoned the nest (batch two). Clearly her new hatchlings are a distraction. So I moved the newly pipped egg into my makeshift bator with my chripping egg that has now externally pipped! Both are chripping at somewhat regular intervals and some movement too!

Fingers crossed!

The egg isn't very noisy, but the tapping is steady and quiet. I just checked in on it and it enlarged the pip so we shall see. Updates to follow shortly.
