I was told chickens don't change egg laying color, but I have to have one hen that seems to be alternating between random shades of brown, tan, and blue eggs?
The hen in question is an EE, that is about 8 months and 2 weeks old. Most of my hens started laying just before thanksgiving, and have been laying 1 mostly every day mostly since. Though, the last 2-3 weeks the hen in question has started laying every other day. I do not supplement heat or light at all, and most of them are on a similar cycle.
The picture above is the last week of eggs of just the hen in question. Then below is the eggs I got today, and hte one with the arrow pointing at it is Genevieve's (the hen in question).
I can take another picture later with that one next to the others, just to show it is very much more blue compared to them (though these are not the bluest her eggs have been).
