Is it necessary to wash the eggs in special egg wash products?

Some people rinse them off with plain water, especially dirty eggs.

Many people just leave the bloom on to protect the egg.

Wash them if you wish if they are for eating, but leave them unwashed if you wish to incubate them as you will remove the protective coat.
My eggs tend to be pretty clean as my girls lay outside.

I never wash my eggs unless they are dirty. I leave the protective "bloom" on them to keep out bacteria.
