What is the percentage of weightloss a chicken egg should have during incubation??

I have read 10%, 12%, 13%, and 14% over the 21 day period...

I am trying to set up my graph to determine if my humidity is accurate, and need to know which percentage to set it up on!

Also, would it be the same percentage for turkey eggs?? Just over a 28 day period.

Thank you!!

Bump. I am wondering the same thing.

I have guinea eggs in and after calculations from day 7 they have lost 4.5% on average so far.

I just put 10 Silver Polish and 8 copper maran eggs on lockdown. My gram loss range 11-16%. The lower numbers being my 4 questionable marans who I'm pretty sure we're quitters at some point but don't want to throw out just yet as I've had some marans in the past be delayed several days for unknown reasons.

The number you want to shoot for is between 14 to 17 percent. So the upper end of that range is good, the lower end might be an issue. But if they're questionable they may have quit and that would explain the discrepancy.
