Does anyone know where I can find good pics of what I should see inside the egg when I candle. I have candled but, I am not really sure what I am looking at. I can see the air sac and veins. I can also see a dark stuff, I am not sure if this is the chicken or yolk or what. Does anyone know where I can find a pic that shows what the different things are? If there are veins is that an indication the baby is still alive? Thanks I really appreciate the help.

Thanks, I just looked at these pics. So I guess what I am confused about is the dark part. Is the dark part I am seeing the chick or is that yolk. Excuse my ignorance but, I have never candled before. All the pics I have seen so far tell you what the different parts are when they are not very far along but, don't really point stuff out in the later pics.

Once you can see mostly the air sac and aveins nd a dark area, the dark area is chick. There's some yolk but the chick should be bigger than yolk by now, or surrounding the yolk if that makes sense.

And yes, veins are HUGE sign the chick is still live.

The movie wouldn't play on my computer but, I could definitely see something moving so I am putting it in lockdown. :0)
