I have 6 - six week old chickens (Silver Penciled Wyandottes, Welsummers and Rock Reds). Went outside to let them out of their coop and into their run this morning. They ate, they drank they ran around. I noticed a small "puddle" by the front door. Now it's been raining, but it's all soaked up so I wondered what it could be. Walked over to it when I left and it was starting to "white up" and looked like what I can only describe as an egg white and was as big as an egg white. My chicks are way too young to start laying. What is this? is this normal?

I'm really hoping someone can still help me with this. Haven't noticed anything since then, but I just happened to be there this morning when it happened. It came out of my chicken and I have no idea why? please help a newbie?!

I can't help as I have no idea, but hope someone can!

Have you seen it again since the initial sighting? If not no worries, if so, you may have a sick bird. Search for the poop thread by JennsPeeps - it tells you everything about chicken poop.
