EGG WIPES

It does not hurt the fertility. But the chicken lays an egg, the shell is covered with a protein outer covering known as the "bloom". and as long as the bloom is intact, bacteria (good or bad) will not get into the egg. If you wash your eggs, you risk the chance of making them more porous, so that bacteria can get inside of the egg.

If you are wanting to incubate your eggs, You can try dry cleaning your eggs. Use an abrasive cleaning pad (without soap in it) to buff the egg. You only need to do this if you see something noticeable on the egg, like a small piece of dry manure or dirt.

If washing, make sure you are using warm water, cold water makes the inside of the egg shrink, pulling the water and the bacteria it carries inside the egg.
