Egg with air sack in the middle! Please help!

Here’s the pictures. One is the one with the air sack in the middle and the other one seems to be developing normally they’re supposed to hatch on the 26th should I wait a little longer? They’re being incubated at the temperature for duck eggs and I don’t know if that will change anything. Sorry my camera doesn’t have the best quality.

Hmm that is odd were they shipped? If you’re going to be home on the hatch day you could wait it out if it’s showing signs of life. I have had saddled air cells, but none quite in the middle like that. There is a good chance you might have to assist if the egg does make it all of the way.

OK, thank you I’ve helped hatch duck eggs before so hopefully it’ll be OK. Do you know if it will pip on its own? The eggs were not shipped. I actually got them from my neighbor so they were put in the incubator the day they were laid and had about a two minute drive.

I have no idea with that one. I think there is a good chance it might, just most likely would be at a weird spot.

How did the hatch go? I am in the same situation right now, just wondering if the chick was able to hatch.

The chick sadly died in the shell and the other one died too. I hope your hatch goes well!

Sorry to hear that. I guess I will keep a close eye on this one and plan for an assisted hatch, maybe she will make it

To update on my egg with the air cell in the middle: The chick hatched on its own! I was so surprised! She is drying off in the incubator now but looks perfectly healthy.
