Hello all! Some of you may know that I have a guinea egg on day 25. This egg has the aircell attached to the pointy end instead of the large end. Not a rolling air cell. I am Putting it into lockdown today. Yesterday the air cell started to draw down but it has not internally pipped yet. I’m thinking that I’ll have to assist it by making a safety hole once it internally pips. Is this assumption correct? Anyone able to offer any advice or seen this before? This egg is really important to me, as it is from my guinea that got killed. Thanks in advance and I’m hoping this little guy makes it. :) Here’s the link to the previous thread I had on it with more information. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/weird-guinea-egg-day-18.1410299/

I will add that The baby is positioned sideways at the moment with its back facing toward the aircell on the pointy end and it’s front facing the bottom of the egg where the aircell is supposed to be. It’s head is towards the right and it’s bottom is towards the left if that makes sense. (I know that might change closer to hatch day)
