I recently finished treating my chickens with Bacox. Just wondering what the withdrawal period is as they started to lay eggs for the first time 4 days ago and I'm desperate to try one.

Thank you :) it doesn't matter now though. My chickens have got mycoplasm infection and cocsidiousis again even though I only treated them the other week. My dad said that it costs too much for me to keep treating over and over and I don't think its fair for them to be ill all the time so I think I have to cull them all. Ive only had them a month. They just started laying an everything. Im so upset. I don't know what to do.

If you can take one to the vet for them to cull and do a necropsy (send it off for testing) then you would know exactly which disease they have.

But I don't know if you can get that done very cheaply where you live (or free).

Can you list their symptoms and see if someone can give a guess as to what they might have? How do you know that it is mycoplasma?

They had it around two weeks ago :( same symptoms.

Im sad but I don't want them to suffer over and over :(

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I only got them all a month ago as a birthday present and they've just been ill with one problem after another the entire time. Its so depressing and frustrating. I'm going to treat again with Tylan. And if they dont get better and stay better for a longer period then this time, I will have to find someone to cull them for me, I don't want them to suffer. I didn't think it possible to become so attatched so quickly but I've spent the majority of the day crying trying to decide what to do.

I cant get to the vets till Tuesday for the Tylan, does anyone know anything that might help them a little untill then?

Thank you again :)
