Egg Yolk Peritonitis

I'm at the vet with Marigold for her re-check. She has been on her antibiotics and Metacam for 2 weeks. Her swollen abdomen has gone down. Her heart and lungs sound good. She has lost about 1 pound so we'll have to start weighing her weekly. She will continue her course of medications for another 4 weeks. She is overall responding well to her treatment. I'm very happy because my last girl with EYP I had to euthanize. I'll post again after her next re-check.

What ever happened with Marigold? Curious as I'm going through this with my hen currently for the first time.

Deslorelin is a wonderful, life saving, thing, but will NOT last 6 months. 8 weeks, if you're lucky. People should now this going in.
