I know feeding chicks hard boiled egg yolk is okay, but can there be too much of a good thing? My little ones (almost 4 wks old now) have shared one hard boiled yolk crumbled up each night since I got them. And they love it. Like freak out bananas love it. Every night, I come out and they rush over for the yolk. Which I love, but I also want to be sure I'm not creating any problems for down the road. I have images of them realizing one day that these things they lay each day have a yolk inside them... What do you think?

Thanks!

I’m curious as well! I’ve been doing a scrambled egg every 3-4 days and it’s a free for all!!

one hardboiled egg yolk nightly isn't going to do anything, and they recommend giving hardboiled egg to sick chicks. it has a lot of nutrients that help speed their development. after all, thats what they were eating before they hatched :jumpy
make sure it is crumbled when you give it to them and don't crumble it or peel it in front of them. chickens have.. sorta good memory and they could grow up to be egg eaters. it sounds crazy but once you have an egg eater it's a pretty hard habit to break so its best to prevent it and not take any risks. never crack an egg in front of a chicken or give them an egg that is not crushed, scrambled or crumbled. otherwise giving them hardboiled eggs are fine.
