Eggberta the Barred Rock Thinks She is a Duck

Is this normal?

She is literally a full time member of the duck flock and will not interact with any other chickens! The ducks even protect her! She even jumps in the water with the ducks.

Did she grow up with the ducks? We have a friend who has a guinea that hangs out with the ducks. The guinea grew up with the ducks and the older guineas won't let him join their group. It is funny to see.

wow, i have a pair of pekin ducks and a barred rock pullet. when the ducks were younger they both decided she was their mother duck and followed her around over all our other hens. maybe barred rocks make good ducks??
