BYC doesn't have to work any harder because someone sells eggs than they already do. If they banned sales, it wouldn't lighten their work load. If I was at your house and was talking to a friend of yours and sold a lovebird to them after a conversation, would you be due a commission? Now if you brought me a customer that specifically wanted an exact bird I had advertised, introduced us and explained what I had for sale, I would cut you a comission. If we casually met, conducted a deal and parted ways and happened to be on your front porch when it happened, I would not feel like I owed you any $. Just me I guess.

a non GFM would stand out like a sore thumb so easy to spot on BST. That would be the end of the "work" for BYC staff. Sellers I'm sure would self patrol that space pretty hard. All non-GFMs would be quickly outed and edited.

The reason that Eggbid is dreadful (other than the rude-ass owners of the site) is insufficient staffing.
