Eggbound chicken???

My hen acts like she is trying to lay an egg, but can't seem to do it. What can I do to help with this problem?

I'm new to raising chickens so hopefully someone more experienced can help. Can you give us some more info on your hen? How old is she? Has she been laying regularly? Is she acting fine otherwise? Eating and drinking ok?

Some suggest crushing up some tums and putting it in her water. I have used the warm water soak successfully. YOu can do a search on her for more detailed suggestions.
