Eggbound hen

I always wondered if force feeding them olive oil or some other find of oil would help them pass something like that? Would anybody know?

Update! Thankfully the hen seems to have recovered.

I kept her quiet in the house for several days before taking her out on little foraging expeditions everyday for a few hours. At first she seemed hesitant to move too much although she did enjoy the grass, but after several more days she was running around with the others and I decided to leave her with them permanently. Over her entire stay in the house, like a whole week, she did not lay any eggs. I'm wondering if after all this she wasn't eggbound, because then wouldn't she get worse instead of better? Maybe it was something completely different? She seems to have become attatched to me though and follows me whenever I'm outside
