eggbound hen

Hi everyone,
Hope all is well. I have an eggbound hen and I am going to attempt to push or feel out the stuck egg. What should I use. I have bag balm, hemorrhoid cream or KY? I am a little nervous as I have never done this before. These are items that have been suggested to me, I could use some new ones.

I have never had to deal with this, but I would use KY. I also have heard that giving them a warm bath or setting them under a heat lamp can also help.
