My Chinese goose Puddles has laid a nestfull of POSSIBLY fertile eggs (if my new male goose did his job) and yesterday she wanted to stay on the nest. Today she was next to the nest, not wanting to get up. I don't know the way to tell if she is eggbound or just going broody. I MADE her scoot up the hatch opening so I could get her out. She did so kinda sliding and not really standing up and walking. I rinsed her off. She would stand while I washed her but would not walk. After cleaning her up I put up back in the hutch and sat her on top of her nest which she promptly went limp on. I FEAR eggbound because we just lost a mama duck a month ago to that. We thought she was just broody but she dropped dead. I have 3 of her eggs about to hatch in the incubator now. How do I tell a broody goose from an eggbound one? Puddles is 8 and she is my baby.... The vet is NOT open until tomorrow and I can't go anyway until my paycheck comes tomorrow at 12.... very nervous until I know what is going on.

I put her in a swimmy tub. She was able to poop and was happy to drink. Did not walk nor could she.... I am uploading vids on my facebook account and its taking forever to upload. I will post here. PLEASE can anyone tell me the ways to tell between broody and eggbound? Are broody geese unable to walk??????
