Yes, you can.I know this is an old thread.... but i"m having some of the same problems with my peahen... she has laid 6 eggs and is just not "right" on the floor. I have tried to supplement but she seems to be NOT eating.
Can I force part of a calcium pill down her throat ? I dont like the idea of doing it, but I dont think she is eating anything at all...

To much calcium is just as bad as to little it will cause the same results.
Sorry for your losses, I just use the website as a resource.The information from avianweb.com may be good. But, I have to tell you that I had a horrible customer service experience with them that cost me 6 rare birds. Do not trust them.
Sorry for your loss.. it is always good to get more than one opinion when ya can on line it is hard to diagnose animals sometimes just by what folks tell you is wrong with them, things get left out that many times are important .. but it is all we have with our bird as most of us do not have an avian vet anywhere close byThe information from avianweb.com may be good.
