I have a hen that is not doing very well. I was away on vaca and when I returned she was in a weakened state. Her symptoms are she has a very distended abdoman and is walking like a penguin, kind of upright. She has clear eyes and is eating, pooing and drinking. She will let me pick her up which is not normal for her. I don't think she can move away quickly enough to get away from me. Is there anything to do to help an eggbound hen(if this is indeed the problem?). First time I have seen this behavior in 10 yrs of having chickens. I don't want her to suffer, should I cull? Any suggestions are appreciated~
