I just have them in for “inspiration”

***oh geesh that’s because I have a toddler.
... a little while for inspiration- but clearly she’s smart enough to spot a fake. And fashion her own.
I had 6 chickens 5 of them turned out to be roosters. ( I know. I have horrible luck) I have added to strippers sisterhood for sure 4 other hens a few weeks apart. I was wondering if she would just wait and lay with them. But she did her own thing.

I remember those toddler days (I was just teasing you, hope you know ).

By the time your 4 younger girls are ready to start laying, Stripe will be able to show them the ropes! (Although, sometimes they'll drop their first egg or two just anywhere...it's almost like they don't know what's happening.)

I had my first egg last week, and all the other girls should be laying within a month. I'm just wondering if now that one is laying, if I should take the golfballs out. She has been pulling all the golfballs on the shelf she lays in together in a pile, sits on them, and lays her egg. I don't want her to go broody on me, but I'm too new to chickens to know if that is a real concern or not.

I think I would remove the golf balls Chicken Related sounds like she is thinking of going broody.
