I have two Golden sex links I picked up for the kids at Easter time. One started laying 2 weeks ago. Shes laid only 2 regular size eggs but the other 8 have been small eggs. A little bigger than quail eggs. I went to make an omlet on Sat and every single one of them had double yolks. I hard bolied a couple of them as well and they are perfect. Add a little salt and pepper and pop them in your mouth. Just the right size.

My easter egger hasnt laid any eggs yet and Im not sure what my other chicken is bbut she hasnt laid any either. Got them all at the same time. They should all be laying by the end of the month.

My congrats on the double yolks too! I wonder ifit has something to do with the Golden Sex Link or if its because they just started laying!

Good question. We got a small egg first, then two regular eggs and then the rest were small. I used the regular eggs and they werent double yolked, Just the small eggs were. Strange but cool.

That is really strange..... and I'm jealous!! Come on girlies! I was thinking if mine hatched Apr 4th, then they should be laying in Sept, but maybe sooner! I have to make a pretty sign and get ready to sell the eggs on our lane, b/c we will be getting a dozen a day.

Great job on raising healthy girlies who seem to be ahead of the curve!
