Egglaying?

What time of the day do most hens lay eggs, morning? night?

also, is there any possibility that my hen will try to lay while roosting? just curious!

also, just a random comment- one of my Buff roos and BRock hen are so in love! its adorable! the hen will try and burrow herself underneath my roo and sleep there. its the cutest thing ever <3

I have six. One lays in the morning and the rest lay throughout the day but none after 4.

I think someone had a chicken lay off an air conditioning unit so they might lay off their roost but probably not.

They lay when they feel like it. I have had some lay after 4 but not very often. I have found an egg under the roost but I am not sure if it was laid earlier in the day and just misses.

okay thanks, im pretty knew to the chickens and im waiting for them to start laying.

i guess movies always make it look like they lay at night/in morning cause you always see them collecting in the mornings haha
