ok, so i have one chicken that's laying eggs twice a day but my other 3 chickens are not laying eggs . i feed them organic chicken feed for adult chickens. all of the are 5 months old. is it possible that i have 3 sterile chickens?

They are just not ready yet. Not surprising if they are a breed that takes longer to lay. My silkies were 7-9 months when they started.

Need a bit more info. What is the exact age, and the breeds of each chicken that is not laying.

It takes 24 - 28 hours to make an egg. So, sounds like you've got two laying.

The average time for laying onset is 24 weeks - your pullets are just now at 20 weeks, so give them time. Also, make sure you provide free-choice oyster shell so they have all the calcium they need to make those shells nice & firm!

You have two laying. Chickens cannot physically lay 2 eggs per day. It takes 24 hours or more for one egg to move through the entire tract.

99% of the time they can not, but it has happened. There are always exceptions ;)

I have a hen that lays at the exact same time every morning. Technically it should take 25 hours, not 24. Penny begs to differ.
